The St. Margaret’s Bay Housing Coalition (SMBHC) is working with other community members and organizations on plans to help address the lack of housing diversity in our area, with an emphasis on affordable, accessible, and sustainable solutions for all.
Like much of Nova Scotia, St. Margaret’s Bay is feeling the impact of the current housing crisis. Families are struggling to find suitable homes to purchase or rent, seniors who wish to downsize are unable to stay close to home, and our young people are forced to move from the area due to a lack of rental options. There has never been a greater need for affordable and diverse housing solutions in our community.
